I was born with ovarian cysts.
I never really knew until I was older. I only knew I had to get ultrasounds done to see something in my body.
I started my period at age 12, which was considered late in my family. I hadn't had a regular period. I just told myself I was regulating. After a while, I dug into some research and found out about PCOS.
It all clicked. Even though I was young, I had always wanted a large family, so when I read "Infertility" my heart stopped.
I read all the other symptoms and knew right away. I talked to my parents about it and they confirmed it.
Symptoms: My acne acted up a lot. I never really ate healthy but I was very active and weight gain wasn't a big issue. There was still no way to control my periods. They started whenever, wherever. Which was pretty embarrassing.
I still struggle with PCOS. I hope to one day have a big family, but I'm still a teenager so there's no rush for that. Thank you for allowing me to share my story and I wish all of you the best on yours :)
